The Paw Patrol is easily one of the most popular dog shows out there. If you have a child (or even know a child!), then you’ve probably heard of Paw Patrol. In fact, we’d bet that you have the theme song memorized. Each dog on the show is unique, with its own breed, likes, and dislikes. Originally, the show only had a few dogs. However, they have added quite a few over the years.
Paw Patrol Breeds Here is a list of all the current Paw patrol characters and their breed. Some of these breeds are “canon” in that they have been confirmed. However, others are the fans’ best guess.
Chase: German Shepherd
Marshall: Dalmatian
Everest: Siberian Husky
Zuma: Chocolate Labrador
Skye: Cockapoo
Rubble: English Bulldog
Tracker: Chihuahua (or a Potcake depending on the source!)
Rocky: Mixed Breed
As you can see, there are quite a few different breeds represented. All of the Paw Patrol appear to be purebred dogs except for Rocky, who is some sort of terrier mix. How Many Dogs Make Up the Paw Patrol?

There are six basic characters in the Paw Patrol, not counting their human owner Ryder. However, there are several other dogs that regularly make an appearance depending on where the episode takes place. For instance, Everest regularly shows up in wintery and mountainous places, where her special skills allow her to help with rescues. Similarly, Tracker lives in the rainforest with another human companion. If the pups ever end up in the rainforest, he is typically there to help out. (Though, to be honest, this doesn’t happen all that much.) Recently, there was a “spin-off” of Paw Patrol that involved dinosaurs. When the pups adventure in this area, they are accompanied by a new Dino dog. There is also a new canine named Liberty in the newest Paw patrol movie, which takes place in the city. What Kind of Dog is Liberty?

Liberty is the new dog that appeared only in the new Paw Patrol movie. She is a Dachshund notionally. In the show, she is the “street smart” dog that helps the others navigate the crowded streets of the city, which they aren’t used to. In real life, Dachshunds are one of the most popular dogs in America. We are surprised one hasn’t appeared in Paw Patrol earlier for this reason. There are several different types of Dachshunds. However, Liberty appears to be the long-haired variant thanks to her ears.
Conclusion Paw Patrol is one of the most popular children’s shows out there today. Therefore, you’ve probably seen it or heard of it at least once. Most parents out there probably have the theme song memorized (and we’re betting that it’s playing in your head right now). While the show never actually mentions the breed of each dog, many of them do have canonical breeds. For instance, Chase is absolutely a German Shepherd.
